WELCOME
Crestview Nazarene is not just a church. It is a family! Our desire is to fulfill the mission that Jesus gave to each believer: Go and preach the Gospel to all the nations. We will start right here in Crestview! Everyone is welcome to this family because we are all made in the image of God. Join us! Come home!
It is all about serving our neighbors. Our Dinner @ Dad's Ministry serves a hot, homemade meal to the community every Sunday afternoon. We share the gifts that come from God, giving them freely and with love. We work with other churches and organizations to meet the needs of our neighbors.
Getting connected at Nazarene Church is simple, and we’d love to help you find your place!
We are "unhindered" in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With God, all things are possible! Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to "Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." Our path is to be obedient to the mission of the call. The mission of the Acts of the Apostles did not end with the Bible. God is still calling His people to fulfill this mission. We should say to Him, "Here I am, send me!"
The Church of the Nazarene is a global Evangelical Christian Protestant denomination rooted in the Methodist and Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Founded in 1908 through a series of church mergers led by figures like former Methodist pastor Phineas F. Bresee, the denomination was created with a strong emphasis on serving the poor and spreading "scriptural holiness". The denomination is officially active in 165 world areas and has approximately 2.8 million members worldwide.
Yes, the Church of the Nazarene absolutely preaches Jesus. In fact, Jesus Christ is the central figure of their theology, worship, and mission.
As an orthodox Christian denomination, their official Articles of Faith outline exactly what they believe about Jesus:
His Divinity and Humanity: Nazarenes believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God—fully God and fully man—who came to earth, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and performed miracles.
His Death and Resurrection: They preach that Jesus died on the cross to pay for the sins of humanity and physically rose from the dead, offering eternal life and salvation to anyone who believes in Him.
The Only Way to Salvation: Like other evangelical churches, they preach that personal faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to be reconciled to God.
His Return: They look forward to the literal, future return of Jesus Christ to judge the world and fulfill His kingdom.
Yes, community service and helping the poor are core parts of the Church of the Nazarene’s identity. The denomination was explicitly founded in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to serve the impoverished, urban working class. Today, they execute this mission through local church projects, specialized centers, and a massive global relief network. This local church is heavily invested in meeting the needs of its neighbors!
Yes, the Church of the Nazarene absolutely baptizes people. Baptism is recognized as one of the two holy sacraments instituted by Jesus Christ (the other being Holy Communion).
Nazarenes view baptism as an outward, public sign of an inward grace—a way for believers to declare their faith in Jesus and their initiation into the body of Christ.
No, it is never too late to come. Today is the right day! We are a family of people who made mistakes. The Bible states, "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Jesus Christ is our standard. We need Him in our lives to reach the level that brings us to God. Jesus will wash us clean and bring us to the Father. We cannot do it without Him.
